We worked with legendary African boot maker, Jim Green Footwear, to bring our version of the perfect Vellie to life. We took Jim Green’s existing design and reinforced key areas with thicker leather. Then we reshaped the toe, changed the sole and altered the stitching to bring you a truly indestructible boot that performs as well in the street as it does when you’re running for your life in the African bush.

"These are some of the most comfortable shoes I own. They go with pretty much everything. you can dress them up, or wear them out in the field. They will darken up some with use over time. I own several different Jim Green Vellies and boots, make sure you go to their site for sizing. These shoes are better than my original JG at the toe I think too. Definitely worth the buy!"

"The toe box is tight for a Jim Green shoe which was very surprising to me. I have a couple of their rangers. Two sets of laces and a FE leather key ring came in the box. Nice touch lads. Rhodesian tip, fill shoe with extremely hot tap water and wear around 1-2 days and leather will mold to your foot."

"I thought I would take a chance on the FE African Vellies. Since I usually wear an 8. 5 Wide (US size) and the size 9 was in stock and recommended to "size up" if you are "wide" I ordered a pair. So far so good. I have only tried them on walked around the house but they feel good and comfortable. I love the look. . . they look like they are made for trekking. . . hopefully without blisters! I will write more of a review after I've broken them in. I have high hopes that these will be my "go to's" for my travels overseas."

"I purchased my Vellies over a year ago. I have yet to find a shoe that is as comfortable and durable for the price. Mine are made of Cape Buffalo and have been indestructible. On average I hike well over 80 miles a year in all kinds of terrain and weather and the only wear I observed is the sole. TOTALLY worth the money."
