84 off-road victories. 10 driving championships. Ivan “Ironman” Stewart is a legend in the racing world. He began racing for Toyota in 1983 and would go on to win two Ironman (solo driver) Baja 1000s under their sponsorship. These accomplishments earned him his nickname and sparked a legacy of a different kind: the Toyota racing stripes.
Toyota had already been using the tri-color stripes prior to working with Stewart, but his domination in the world of off-road racing sealed the stripes’ fate as iconic.
