Waxed canvas is old tech, but it refuses to die because it works. It’s tough, it wears well and it can be recoated to keep out the elements. With reasonable care, it’ll live longer than you will.
There’s enough room for guns, knives, spare mags, tourniquets or a few lagers—because survival needs vary.

"This thing is awesome. From hikes with my family to off-road motorcycle riding, this comes with me. I can fit my XDM Elite 4. 5" in 10mm in the main compartment, even in a kydex holster, no problem. Other pockets hold a spare mag, tourniquet, note pad, wallet, stimulant of choice, etc. Water resistance is solid. I even rode the entirety of the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route with this pack. Can't recommend enough."

"Also have a prior Hill People chest rig. Nylon. Looks “funny” in town. Works awesome travelling or on the hill. Fits more than you might think. This pack well built, well designed and smartly laid out. Perfect for EDC, extra mag, phone, TQ. Maybe even room for a squeeze tube of PB, honey and or a LifeStraw."

"So far it’s amazing. I will try to drop another review after the first week plus in the field. Build quality is top notch like anything I have messed with from HPG. I have run a bigger HPG kit bag (Heavy Recon) for almost 4 years now. I assume that First Spear is building this one for them as well. Honestly, if you like this color or waxed canvas…just buy it. Great rig and solid value for the money considering how much other HILL stuff costs (not whining, just saying). I really don’t think you can do better for what this bag is designed to do. Keep up the great work, thanks for making this."
